Our approach focuses on teaching students how to be successful learners while

Building a Culture of Engagement

Using Schlechty’s Levels of Engagement as a common language, our staff works
to understand student engagement and identify ways to increase ownership,
motivation, and connection to learning. Our goal is for every student to experience

Clear Expectations and Student Ownership

At Singing Hills Elementary, expectations for learning and behavior are explicitly

Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS)

Singing Hills Elementary uses a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework
to ensure students receive the right level of support at the right time. MTSS provides
a structured approach for helping students develop academically, socially, and
behaviorally.

Tier 1: Universal Classroom Support

All students receive high-quality classroom instruction, proactive behavior support,
and opportunities to build positive learning habits.
Teachers support students through:
 - Engaging and meaningful lessons.
 - Strong classroom relationships.
 - Clear routines and expectations.
 - Feedback focused on growth.
 - Reflection and problem-solving opportunities.

Tier 2: Targeted Student Support

When a student needs additional support, our school team collaborates with the
student and family to provide targeted interventions.

 - Individualized behavior support strategies.

Tier 3: Intensive Support

For students requiring more individualized assistance, our team works collaboratively
with families to develop a comprehensive support plan focused on student success.

others, we provide structured opportunities for reflection and re-engagement.
Students are supported in:
