Policies and Procedures
GENERAL SCHOOL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Attendance & Arrival
- Attendance is taken in classrooms at 8:05 a.m.
- Students arriving after 8:10 a.m. are marked tardy.
- Lunch counts are completed between 8:15–8:30 a.m.
- Student supervision begins at 7:45 a.m. Please do not drop students off before
this time.
- Students must be picked up by 3:15 p.m. Students not picked up on time will
be brought to the front office, and families will be contacted.
Kids Club is not available for drop-in care. Families needing care must
register in advance through Elizabeth Parks & Recreation.
School Communication
- Important announcements, school information, and student work are sent
home weekly in Friday Folders.
- Families with multiple students at Singing Hills Elementary will typically receive
school and district communications through their oldest child.
- Please review Friday Folders with your child and return them the following
Monday when signatures are required.
- Classroom updates are posted on teacher websites, and the Parent Newsletter
is shared weekly through email and the school website.
Report Cards & Conferences
- Report cards are available through the Parent Portal at the end of each
trimester.
- Parent/teacher conferences are held twice each year and are scheduled
online.
Morning Announcements & Birthdays
- Morning announcements begin at 8:05 a.m.
- Student birthdays are announced daily, and birthday students may visit the
office for a birthday pencil.
Student Records & Child Safety
- Parents/guardians may request to review their child’s educational records by
submitting a written request to the principal.
- Colorado law requires educators and other adults to report suspected child
abuse or neglect to the appropriate authorities.
Respectful Behavior
- All adults are expected to model respectful and appropriate behavior on school
grounds and during school events.
