At Singing Hills Elementary, we are committed to providing every student with a high-
quality education that prepares them for lifelong success. Our instruction is grounded
in the Colorado Academic Standards and delivered through a guaranteed and viable
curriculum, ensuring that all students have access to consistent, rigorous learning
experiences across every grade level.

Our teachers use research-based instructional practices that meet students where
they are while challenging them to grow. Through standards-based instruction,
students develop the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking abilities needed to
become confident learners and problem-solvers.

We believe that effective teaching is informed by meaningful data. Following Paul
Bambrick-Santoyo's Data-Driven Instruction (DDI) model, our teachers meet weekly
to analyze student learning data, celebrate successes, identify areas for growth, and
plan targeted instruction. These collaborative data meetings ensure that instruction is
responsive to student's needs and that every child receives the support or enrichment
necessary to reach their full potential.

Creating classrooms where students are actively engaged is central to our approach.
Guided by Phillip Schlechty's Levels of Engagement, our educators design learning
experiences that encourage curiosity, collaboration, ownership, and meaningful
participation. Students are challenged to think critically, solve authentic problems, and
take an active role in their learning.

We also believe that students learn best in safe, supportive, and productive learning
environments. Our classrooms foster positive relationships, high expectations, and a
culture of respect where every child feels valued, encouraged, and empowered to
take academic risks.
